Our innovative scoring system is designed to reward players for all aspects of basketball performance. Unlike traditional fantasy platforms, Fantasy Game Changer uses a comprehensive scoring system that acknowledges both offensive and defensive contributions.
Standard Scoring Categories
These point values are awarded for basic basketball statistics:

| Rebound | +1.2 | Defensive or offensive rebound |

| Block | +2 | Preventing an opponent's shot |
| Turnover | -1 | Losing possession to the opponent |
Bonus Categories
Special bonuses are awarded for exceptional performances:

Defensive Categories
We place extra emphasis on defensive contributions, often overlooked in other fantasy platforms:

Example Point Calculation
Let's look at an example of how points would be calculated for a player performance:
Player Performance:
- 25 points (including three 3-pointers)
- 12 rebounds (10 defensive, 2 offensive)
- 8 assists
- 3 steals
- 2 blocks
- 2 turnovers
Point Calculation:
- Points: 25 × 1 = +25
- 3-Pointers: 3 × 1 = +3
- Rebounds: 12 × 1.2 = +14.4
- Assists: 8 × 1.5 = +12
- Steals: 3 × 2 = +6
- Blocks: 2 × 2 = +4
- Turnovers: 2 × (-1) = -2
- Double-double (points & rebounds): +3
- 10+ Rebounds Bonus: +2
Total Fantasy Points: 67.4 points
Contest Scoring
In Fantasy Game Changer contests, your team's total score is the sum of all your selected players' individual scores. The teams with the highest total scores win prizes according to the contest's payout structure.
Scoring Adjustments
Official NBA statistics are used for scoring. In the rare case of a stat correction by the NBA, Fantasy Game Changer will update scores accordingly, even after a contest has ended. Results will be recalculated if necessary.
